Advice & Information

Booking - The Beamish Wild Ropes Activity Centre requires advance booking, please visit our online booking facility for further details, or call 01207 233 733*. We're now taking bookings.

Arrival
– To avoid disappointment please arrive in good time for your booking at the Beamish Wild Ropes Activity Centre. Unfortunately late arrivals or cancellations on the day will be charged full price. If you need to cancel a prior booking, please inform the centre no later than 24 hours before the day.

Weather – One of the realities of our North East forest location is that we occasionally experience extreme weather conditions such as high winds, snow, heavy rain, ice and lightning. As participant and instructor safety is of paramount importance these conditions can cause the closure of the centre in some cases. On these occasions we will always attempt to contact you to advise re-opening times or alternative arrangements. If you fear that bad weather may affect your day, please get in touch with us for more information.

Clothing – The Beamish Wild Ropes Activity Centre is a woodland-based adventure activity and there is always a chance that your clothing might get dirty or even slightly damaged, so we strongly recommend that you dress accordingly. The activities you will be taking part in include zipline, a powerfan descent, rope walks and other hire wire adventures. Dress according to the weather to avoid being uncomfortable. We recommend that you wear ankle-supporting shoes. For your own safety we do not allow participants to wear flip-flops, sandals or other inappropriate footwear. Again, for your own safety we ask that all jewellery and piercings are removed or taped over for the duration of the activity. Long hair should be tied back.

Fitness – the ropes course at Beamish Hall is an inclusive and fun activity, but it does require a reasonable amount of fitness and strength to comfortably complete.

Shop – The Beamish Wild Ropes Activity Centre shop offers a wide range of souvenirs, along with a selection of light refreshments and hot drinks. The Stables, our new pub and real ale brewery is now open and it is the ideal setting for a family meal after an adventure in the tree tops.

Other Activities – There are lots of other activities on offer at the Beamish Hall Country House Hotel. Why not visit the recently opened Birds of Prey Conservation Centre? Our new adventure playground is the ideal adventure for the younger children.
