Opening Times

Make a day of it at Beamish Wild Birds of Prey Conservation Centre! Come and see our fantastic birds with your school group or family. Be aware that this is an experience not to be missed!

Opening Times

10:00am to 4:30pm

The Beamish Wild Birds of Prey Conservation Centre is open seven days a week all year round. Remember, our birds don’t celebrate the holidays like we do!

Display Times

Weather permitting we provide two educational flight displays every day. The displays last approximately 45minutes to an hour and are held at 11:00am and 14:00pm.

Our informative and exciting flight displays are the perfect way to see our resident birds of prey in action. You will witness the incredible power and grace of an eagle as it responds to its handler in the air. You will be amazed at the jet-like speed and accuracy of the falcons. You might even meet some of our more unusual and funny characters who will do anything for the sake of a small morsel!

Owl Walk

Four adorable little owls are the latest tour guides for visitors at Beamish Wild Birds of Prey Centre.

This unique hands on experience is great for anyone who is interested in wildlife. Visitors will be given the opportunity to handle our little owls under the supervision of our falconers and take them on a walk through the ancient woodland within the centre.

As there are only limited spaces and a minimum age of 6 years please enquire upon arrival at the centre
